Dyspraxia and McTimoney Chiropractic

This week, 24th-30th Sept is Dyspraxia Awareness Week. Dyspraxia in children is often characterized by a complex set of symptoms, often with an impairment of the organization of movement and mobility.
Dyspraxia can also overlap with other conditions such as dyslexia due to the implications it has for skills such as reading and writing. Dyspraxic children often exhibit late development in motor skills such as sitting, standing and walking then later difficulties in running, jumping or catching a ball. These are also the symptoms that a child who has a misaligned spine may present in my clinic with.

If we then look at the nerve supply of the human body, it is easy to see how McTimoney Chiropractic might help people that suffer with dyspraxia. By removing the impingement on the nervous tissue, it allows the body to express itself healthily and function normally again. If you feel that your child, or someone you know can be helped, then please feel free to pass on my details. I work in Ayr, on the South West coast of Scotland.
